Ultrasonic is widely used throughout industries to remove difficult contaminants. In general, if an item can be cleaned with liquid, it can be cleaned much faster and more thoroughly with an ultrasonic cleaner, compared to traditional solvent/scrubbing methods of cleaning in a parts washer. Ultrasonic cleaning is based on the cavitation effect caused by high frequency ultrasonic wave vibration signals throughout the fluid. Microscopic bubbles form and then implode violently creating an intense scrubbing action on the surfaces of items in the ultrasonic cleaner. Due to the microscopic scale of these bubbles, they can easily penetrate crevices or orifices resulting in thorough and consistent cleaning without strenuous manual cleaning.
